Types of Door Handles

  1. Knob handle: a knob handle is turned to open a door. This type of handle is suitable for doors that open inwards or outwards.

  1. Lever handle: a lever is pulled down to open the door. This type of handle is perfect for doors that open inwards only.

  1. Towel bar/pull handle: is fixed to the side of the door, and you pull on it to open the door. It is mainly used on bathroom doors.

Types of Internal Doors - Good To Know

There are three types of internal doors:

  1. Hollow-core doors

These doors are lightweight and usually used for closets or rooms that don't require privacy, such as laundry rooms.

  1. Solid wood doors

Solid wood doors are heavier and more expensive, so they're usually used for bedrooms or bathrooms.

  1. Metal or glass doors

These can be either heavy or light depending on the materials used, but they're frequently used as entryways into homes or offices.

Would Installing A Door Handle On A Solid Wood Door Be Different From A Metal Or Glass Door?

You should install a door handle on a solid wood door the same way as you would on a metal/glass door.

The only difference might be that you may need to use longer screws when installing it on a wooden door, since they tend to be thicker. Ensure that the screws you use are long

enough to go through both the handle and the door.
